Introductions!

Hello and welcome to the official blog of the ATL Rack Pack! We are just two friends walking to find a cure for breast cancer. Leanne is a veteran walker, having walked twice in DFW and walking again in DFW this year (as well as Atlanta!). This is Renee's first 3-day for the cure event, but she's no rookie when it comes to walking! While Renee and Leanne do not live in the same city right now (Renee is in Atlanta and Leanne is in New Orleans) they have enjoyed walking the streets of Dallas when they both lived there.

We write this blog to keep you informed and updated on our training and fundraising efforts. We will share pictures, stories, and excitement between now and late October. The Atlanta 3-day for the cure event is October 22-24.

Another purpose of this blog is to auction off donated items. We are currently accepting donations of items that we can auction in order to help us raise $4,600, the minimum donation amount for both of us to walk. (Each walker is required to raise the minimum of $2,300 in order to participate.) If you have an item that you'd like to donate, please contact us by commenting on this post or e-mailing leannehjohnston(at)gmail(dot)com. We'd love to showcase your business and give you exposure on our blog. If you'd like to support us by donating to our cause, you can do that really soon. Once that information is available, we will post it here first.
